Well it’s wednesday, I haven’t seen a post to do this but since it is my first time- why not!
I just have a hard time eating breakfast.I don’t know if any other teachers have this problem, but I do. But reccently I made it a goal to get up early, and to eat breakfast at home in a calm and quiet manner. It really helps me get ready for the day.
My second tip is to try oatmeal in the morning. It is quick and easy, healthy (for the most part), and there must be a flavor out there for you. If you want to buy the prepackaged flavor ones, go ahead. But I recommend buying a huge pack of the plain rolled oats. It is usually cheaper (especially if you get that huge box at wholesale stores). There is no real flavor, but that’s the fun, you get to add your own! Blueberries and cinnamon, bananas, throw some frozen strawberries with it in the microwave…the possibilities are endless! You should really add my not-so-secret ingredient.
PEANUT BUTTER.
Put about a spoonful into your serving of oatmeal and stir it up. IT IS DELICIOUS. And gives you a source of protein in the morning. I usually add a dash of cinnamon in there as well. Yummy yummy. I make sure to wake up early now, so that I can have my oatmeal (I also ate it for breakfast and lunch three days in a row….)! It is that serious.
So nothing new here, but maybe you needed a reminder of how awesome oatmeal is. If you come up with any cool combinations (and cool=tasty) let me know!
P.S. I have tried Nutella, but I deffinitely like peanut butter in my oatmeal better. :o)
this. Peanut butter...favorite things, together? DONE. Plus, I’m sick
