My director wants me to decorate the parents corner bulletin, and she wants me to put bios up of her and I. So that means we have to write them. I haven’t got a clue what to write. But here is what I got so far (btw I have no clue what person this is supposed to be in)…

Hi. I’m Ms. Storey. I am a self professed nerd. During my free time you can find me sewing, quilting, or knitting. I also enjoy reading ( Especially Jane Austen). I am a Disney freak. I have about 3 1/2 friends. The 1/2 being my guinea pig Gordo. I am a certified teacher - except because of this whole recession thing, I can’t find a job because apparently teaching isn’t as recession proof as everyone once thought. Any who, that is not why I got into teaching. I actually decided I wanted to teach during my freshman year of college. I am a life long learner, and teaching helps me to continue on that path. I <3 history. I believe in your kids. I like sandwiches. And icy bottles of coke. The end.

Right?

So I am pretty sure a couple of the counselors hate our guts. One already quit and it’s only the third day of school. Renette and I are organizational rule freaks, and I think the last director was really lax on them. We are expecting more to quit. Oh well. If I am a b, then I’m a b. I’m just doing my job.

Sometimes I hate when this one person responds to anything I say on FB, that may be something he doesn’t like or agree with.

He’s particurlary sensitive about religion and will randomly say stuff to me, I think to purposely get me riled up. But I constantly just give him basic answers. I don’t like it when he attacks like that.

And today I really think I am going to love it…It’s going to be a little stressful, but I am blessed so I can handle stress!

And basically my job is organizing and playing with office supplies and paperwork.

I <3 office supplies.

I recently discovered glogster and would really like to show you the awesome stuff I made….but I can’t figure out how to get the files/pictures on here. Hmmm…

Anywho, everyone should get one. They are oodles of fun!

 lol. when I lived with disgusting people for the first time, I learned to do two things:

a) confront them and let them know. because some people are really dumb and have never been in a living situation where they actually have to clean up after themself before. be very specific about it and possibly have a mediator. Don’t do what I did and be sly and say things like, “WOW There are A LOT of dishes! They have been sitting here a LONG time, when will they get cleaned?” or “WHOA the trash is sky high!” No one likes hints, you gotta be blunt.

and/or

b) get over it essentially. it makes you miserable, but you being miserable, or the mess, does not bother them, so why bother yourself? its frustrating at first, but you get used to it. then the blame is no longer on you because you pull your weight.

It sucks all the same though. Some people never learn.

and I am not liking it.

I don’t know, maybe I will when it is all done…it’s taking me a long time to make too… :o/

Didn’t buy much, even if it is no-tax week. I really don’t have the money after paying bills and spending $230 on my car. :o( I guess it is a good thing I didn’t go to Orlando this weekend..

But I did buy two good items. One is the sixth Harry Potter book. I have been missing it from my collection since my sister loaned it to someone…punk. So I finally have the completed series-again, and I will be rereading them soon. it was in good condition too, and just a $1.50.

And then I bought a vest for my sister and I to share. I really bought it for her, because she has been wanting a vest for some time, but it is super cute and good for professional wear-perfect for the job promotion I am up for. if I get it. And that was only $6.

So $7.50 for a $30 book and a $30 vest….I think I came out on top!

Good News: Going to Atlanta in Dec with my mom and sister to see my brother joey, his wife, his son, and there soon to be new baby daughter.

Bad News: I am no longer going to Orlando on Thursday. Unless some miracle happens and Sara gets off one of the days. I am terribly upset about it.

what a week. I plan on working on another quilt all day. Cars themed for my nephew.
